Can't adjust speed of prompter, AI Fairlight nightmares

PostSat Apr 12, 2025 10:31 pm

1. Even though I turned off the video playback, I still don't get an option for adjusting the speed of the prompter. BTW, having to turn off the video to be able to adjust the speed of the prompter is a poor implementation since when doing a voiceover, I like to time my delivery to the video. Of course, I can do that later by cutting, moving clips around, etc, but I'm confused as to why.
2. I used the AI remixing tool, but later had to change the length of my video. Now the audio drops out where the original ending was. It doesn't matter if I move the clip to another track, remove it and add a new clip or anything. It drops out. What's weird is the meter is still active and moving up and down, so there's a signal going through, just no audio. The only option was to create a new timeline and copy all my video clips and voiceover into that one.
3. Trying to Live Trim or putting in a time code to change the length of my music clip just doesn't work. It just ends right in the middle. It doesn't matter which of the 4 versions I try, they all end abruptly.

Hopefully you can get these things fixed on the next version.

I'm also having trouble with the prompter.
I can't find the option "Play Prompter Without Video" I understand this is where the prompter speed adjustment lives, but I'm unable to get to it.
