Trying to figure out the purpose of new keyframe workflow

First thing uh can we not ALT / OPT click and drag to duplicate keyframes like every other software on earth? I noticed Copy Paste doesn't function properly within the new curves window, and you can't seem to edit values on the keyframe window. So basically you use the inspector to change values and we are supposed to bounce around from three different window panels ? Are there any keyboard shortcuts for any of this?

In 19 I noticed I can ALT drag keyframes but I can't drag a keyframe passed another keyframe. Meaning, if there is a keyframe in front of the keyframe you are duplicating you cannot drag the newly duplicated keyframe after a pre-existing keyframe..

Can someone weigh in on any of these? DVR20 Beta overwrote my 19 install I didn't think it would do that because it's a new version number..

It might depend on what you are trying to edit. For example, if you double click a keyframe for zoom you can type in a value and it will change (this works in both of the keyframe editors), however if you try that same thing for Retime Speed it doesn't do anything. This is also true in the spline window, and I reported that bug here:
viewtopic.php?f=40&t=219513

There might be other parameters/effects that are buggy and don't update when typing in values. I am certain that zoom works, can you try it with zoom (x or y) and see if it works for you?

+1 for Alt+drag to copy keyframes.

I believe it's ctrl/command to dup keyframes in the Fusion Page. I'd say keep it consistent between the pages as much as possible.

Let's just make sure that you can select more than one keyframe set at a time. If both scale and transform have frames, don't make us have to select them separately. This also includes multiple items in a list. Basically, don't reinvent the wheel, spoke by spoke. Go to After Effects and see what you can do with their keyframes and do at least that to catch up to present day expectations. If you want to be really on it. Allow for copy and paste of multiple item's keyframe sets all at once vs. having to go layer by layer. This also brings up the ability to see more than one layer at a time. It's kinda hard to sync up two objects moving if I can only see one keyframe set at a time.

Yeah After Effects is perfect with keyframes, if I could have that in DaVinci it will be an unstoppable force

My hope is that they'll eventually replace the Fusion editor with the Edit page keyframe/spline editor (once all the kinks are worked out). That would be more consistent for users and easier for developers to update because any changes they make would apply in both places.

And as a side note, I wish Ctrl+drag was used to copy everything (especially clips on the Edit page) as that is standard for copy on Windows for every application I can think of. It's like changing Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to do something else other than copy and paste. Alt+drag feels totally backwards and I still don't like it even after over 3 years of using Resolve.
