Installing or not installing DR 20?

Hello there, I have just bought Studio 19 and am learning my way around it. Is it wise to wait before upgrading to the 20 since I have been reading about a few bugs?
Or should I go for it before it becomes paid?

I don't do difficult work, just simple editing, color grading and subtitles.

Thanks for your suggestions
Isabella

If you wanna get work done without mishap then wait.

They’ve already said 20 will be covered with existing licenses.

If you’re doing paid work, I’d stick with 19. If not, it probably wouldn’t hurt to try the 20 beta. Just back up your databases beforehand.

Remember to backup your Davinci Resolve project database before updating to Resolve 20, you can't go backwards.

It is wise to test any new version (Beta or otherwise) on a second system before you upgrade your primary edit system.

A personal system. (Editing should always be done on a dedicated system - no games, no email, no office, no security, no development - just the OS and the tools you need to work.)

I only have one laptop. No other options.

Jim's opinions and pronouncements are his own.
In a perfect world, sure.
Many people do fine anyway.

I call it the "Ideal Scene", but that's generally the viewpoint from which I post, yes.

But just for you, Joe, I'ma gonna call it "THE Correct Way". :D ;)

You can choose to post something useful or pedantic. I prefer the former.
