Timeline not working

I haven't been able to drag and drop any file types on my timeline, or import anything to the timeline, DV is unusable right now, either on 19 or 20. i have a GeForce 5070 that's up to date but it seems like it might be a problem. I've reinstalled both version of DV multiple times and tried everything i can think of.

any ideas ?

Check your Track Destination Selection.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
