Voiceover Tool in Edit Page - Not Functioning as Expected

Hey yall,

I typically use the Fairlight page’s record feature for quick VO corrections, but I wanted to try out the new Voiceover tool on the Edit page in this beta.

It works great with my MacBook’s built-in mic (M2 MacBook Pro 13") and even my iPhone's mic. However, when I use my UA Volt 276 interface, the Voiceover feature doesn’t detect any signal from the second input. No level shows in the preview, and nothing gets recorded. There’s no option to choose a specific input on the interface—so I have to plug into the first input, which does work and records properly.

What’s odd is that when monitoring is enabled through Voiceover, I can hear the mic in the second input just fine—but there's still no signal on the meter or in the recording.

If this is intended behavior, it’s a bit limiting. Especially since I suspect many of us use both inputs for different workflows, and at first glance, appears like the feature might not work at all. Unlike Fairlight, there’s no input routing or patching available on the Edit page, which makes this setup inflexible for anyone not using the first input.

Unless I’m missing a setting somewhere? Otherwise, really enjoying the beta! Getting a lot of mileage out of all the new things!

This is exactly what I am experiencing with the focusrite Scarlett Solo. Input one registers on the vu meters, input two doesn't register (and nothing is recorded) but I can hear it when I enable monitoring. Additionally, it all works as expected when used on the Fairlight page. The problem I have is that my microphone uses an XLR connector but only input 2 on the Scarlett Solo has an XLR input.

I have the same issue with my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20. We need a method to select the input of the device that the mic is connected to. I have mine plugged into input 3 and there is no method to select it unless I go to the Fairlight page and patch the input and record to the track there.
