Installing Davinci Resolve versions separately

It would be good if DR installation is improved so we can install different versions separately and have them running independently on the same machine.

Then, there should be an option to import projects from older version as needed, not automatically.

On Mac is actually pretty easy to do.

DaVinci Resolve Studio 20
MacBook Pro M1 (2020) | 16GB ram | 1TB SSD
macOS Squoia 15.5

On Windows you have to backup everything, including database before upgrading as upgrade takes over.

If you want to step back to previous version you have to deinstall new one, remove everything, install old and get data from backup.

Hi. It's easy on Windows. Here's what I do. I rename the DaVinci Resolve folder to prevent it from being overwritten in: /Program Files/Blackmagic Design.
Then I install it to another disk or folder.
Return the DaVinci Resolve folder to its original name.
As for the database, you should create a new one and duplicate the current one, or the projects you're interested in.
Regards.
