AI music Editor mono issue

Hi all,

I've done a quick search but couldn't find anything about it so I'm wondering if I'm the only one affected by this issue.

While trying to stretch an audio file with the new AI music editor, all works good as long as i keep editing. As soon as i close resolve and come back to my project, the sound of the edited audio becomes mono (But it was in stereo right after the first adjustment before closing resolve).
Workaround so far is to delete the audio, reimport the original and re-adjust it and it works...until i close Resolve and have to do it all over again.

Am i the only one ?

I'm on PC, windows 11, Nvidia Graphics, all up to date with latest public beta version.

Thanks !

Hi,
you’re not the only one — I’m experiencing exactly the same issue with the AI Music Editor.

After editing a stereo audio clip, it plays correctly in stereo. But as soon as I close and reopen Resolve, the audio becomes mono, and there’s no way to restore the stereo output, even by changing Clip Attributes.

The only workaround, as you said, is to reimport the original clip and redo the process — but that’s clearly not a practical solution.

I’m on Mac, running macOS Sequoia 15.5, and using the official DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 version released on May 28 (not the beta).
So it looks like the issue affects both Windows and macOS.

Hopefully Blackmagic will patch this soon — the feature is promising, but unusable with this bug.

Thanks for sharing!

I've repro'd this on Mac and Windows in the v20 release, and made sure the devs are aware.

I think that it happens to me either.
I exported the timeline to AAF and the sound editor noticed me that some music were in mono.
The solution was to decompose clips. I lost my automatization but it doesn't matter, since there is a sound post producer working on the project, but it is a bad issue.
