Hello
I make YouTube videos, but when I record what I write, I use Audacity. The thing is, it takes forever. My steps are as follows:
1) Record each paragraph using my HyperX Quadcast condenser mic.
2) Normalise and manually reduce each peak, then repeat normalise until all levels are loud enough.
3) Apply De-Clicker mod and then highlight and remove breathing in between sentences using Noise Gate.
Many, many hours later, it's done.
My question is, can this process be bypassed by recording directly into Davinci Resolve? I heard that Davince has some automation when it comes to all these manual things I have to do that take forever. Then there is the fact that I see so many YouTubers just talking live into their mics with no sound issues like background noise and heavy breathing or sharp sss's and wet mouth noises.
I'm getting really frustrated because I've got the Audacity settings all figured out and perfect-ish. But it is so damm time-consuming. Does anyone know if there is a way in Davinci to just plug in and apply certain settings that solve the issues I have? Is it a case of pre-applying settings to the vocal track or something I need to apply live?
Many thanks if you are able to respond and aid me in my quest to become more efficient.
My YouTube channel is here, if you want to judge my technical capabilities so far
