Need help resizing window, snapping to one side!

PostThu Apr 17, 2025 3:32 pm

I am trying to watch a tutorial on DaVinci Resolve, and the way I would do this on Windows is by snapping one window to one side of the screen and then attaching the other window to the opposite side. That way, I can watch a video on YouTube while editing at the same time.

However, on the Mac, I’m unable to do this. It just stays in a halfway, full-size mode and doesn’t let me have two windows side by side. When I try to work around this by resizing the window smaller, it still doesn’t allow me to do so.

The issue is, whenever I try to search about this on the internet, I can’t get a clear answer. It stinks
because I’m trying to figure out how to create a split-screen view in general, but the search results focus on how to create a split-screen video in DaVinci Resolve. All I’m trying to do is be in the program on one side of my screen while watching videos on the other.

If anyone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it. This has been very discouraging for me, as I really wanted to enjoy this program. Thanks so much for your help.
