HDR Footage from Magic lantern

PostSat Apr 19, 2025 9:14 am

Hi All

I got a lack of knowledge issue so I though I would ask here.

I recorded HDR footage on a Canon 70D using magic lantern, this is achieved by recording one farm with iso 100 and one with iso 400. I need to figure out how to combine the two frames into on so that 50frames a second gets converted into 25 frames per second of hdr while maintaining the same speed of the video. I can already achieve this by using frame blend and setting the speed to 200 but this speeds up my clip to twice the speed.

Can anyone help.

I know photo editors can handle this kind of thing. I've never heard of an NLE doing it. Normally, you'd just shoot Log and then render an HDR deliverable.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
