Whenever you extend your clips and used Stabilizer before, there is no visual feedback (exclamation mark / red stabilizer icon on clip) or a message that you should recalculate the stabilization which results in an abrupt punch-in when the data for previous calculation kicks in. I would rather have no stabilization applied than this crazy zoom-in (or zoom out when extending the the clip from the back)

When you're doing a long form documentary with mixed source material and often re-arranging large chunks of scenes, this is an absolute headache.

Also, it would be most welcome to have a default preset list for Stabilizer (the best one that mostly works for my cases is the Similarity with higher Smooth parameter and lower Strength parameter) as well as other built-in or OFX plugins:

If you look at the spline for tracking its clear what is happening. As one would expect. Weather you want that or not, that is user responsibility. If you use tracking tools of any kind, you will always need to re-track. Hence you apply tracking either after you locked in the edit or you re-track after new edit. Its users responsibility to keep track of the workflow steps. Or adopt workflow that does not get one into trouble. Tracking is not real time, nor is it independent of the user control. Since you are in control, I suggest you apply workflow that keeps you in control. Also when it comes to stabilization there are multiple options and tools on how and where stabilization will be performed. Again, its users responsibility to make those choices.

Similar problem is when people copy and paste tracking data and complain that its not what they want, but they don't pay attention to what they did. Or when people use transitions and do tracking, limiting tracker with transitions and than complain that tracker is not working, even if there is a specific workflow to get around this. Same is with stabilization and post edits. Its user responsibility. Tools will work in relation to that.

Your second link seems invalid by the way. (The requested topic does not exist.) And first link actually has one of my comments how to do about about it, but to expand on that comment, you can easily copy and paste attributes in color page, similar to edit and fairlight pages, including tracking only or no tracking. No issues there. Only workflow adjustment.

Other than that, I can only appreciate the superior workflow ethics but this thread is about adding a certain functionality that is already available within other editing solutions - if you have other ideas how such features should be enhanced to save the users from needless clicks/operations, please do share!

Most ideally, I would expect a simple UX enhancement to be either reminded of re-analyzing requirement (as seen in Premiere Pro) or have a batch re-analyze tool to fix such inconsistencies.

Sure, the responsibility ultimately is down to the user to keep track of things and make sure everything has been checked, but why not make it easier to avoid unintentional issues? Some sort of indicator wouldn't hurt.

In fact, I could also use that for Magic Mask. I can't even count the number of times I didn't realize it needed recalculation after rippling a grade or making a change upstream, and then I go to render and realize it hasn't been calculated yet.

Not a huge deal, but could be nice.

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.

If you extend the clip on the Timeline, the Stabilize button is still greyed out.

If you turn the Stabilization OFF and ON - it's still greyed out.

You need to RESET the Stabilization tab to make the button active again.

It's not a nuisance when making reels but for feature length films when you are juggling literally hundreds of shots it becomes quite of a problem because there is literally no indication in the Edit page that the stabilize data is incomplete.

That's why I am raising the issue in this forum - most people would agree such behavior of Stabilization can count as a bug. Seeing how many bugs the Developers are fixing during the beta/RC phases, I have high hopes this will be resolved as well (pun intended).
