Hi,
The "Blackmagic RAW Speed Test" app show me the CPU is 200% the GPU openCL specs
CPU : i9-13900K
GPU : RX 6800XT strix OC 16GB
RAM : 2 x 16 GO DDR5 5600MHz C36

May I still decode with the GPU ?

The hidden question is :
What are the best settings to get resolve even more fast ?
:)

Yeah, there's a setting to specify if you want to use the GPU for BRAW decoding and its usually turned on by default.

The test on the app might be a fluke as GPU decoding is faster.

I use BRAW GPU decode on my card (7900XTX) and have no issues. And I upgraded from a 6800XT as well where I had no issues either.

Besides your specs, you haven't posted what your drives are. Are they NVME or normal spinning hard drives? If its the latter, I would go with SSD or NVME if you want to see faster speed.

7GBs SSD here, Samsung 990 EVO Plus
I use the samsung T5 of my BMPCC (530MBs) to avoid file copy

I have tested with 4kDCI 60fps Q0 :

1/2 Playing video with color managed, nothing else appyed :

Decoding BRAW CPU:
GPU100% CPU60%

Decoding BRAW GPU:
GPU 40% CPU16%

2/2 Magic mask AI v2 tracking:
CPU 4FPS
GPU 5FPS

So, regardless the result of the "Blackmagic RAW Speed Test" app, we should keep GPU decoding ON, as you said, turned on by default.

Thanks

Same thing with H264/H265
You should always keep the GPU processing ticked, if not, GPU usage is higher !
