problems with DJI Mavic3pro mp4 clips

I got a bunch of DJI Mavic 3 Pro mp4 (4k24) clips, and they are giving me a hard time in DRS20b1

I am getting "GPU failed to perform image processing" error 702 or error 1 constantly, the videos show up as just a black frame. other project containing other regular footage, work/open fine.

Win 11 pro, 24h2 26100.3624
ryzen 3960x, 120GB RAM
3090 studio driver 576.02

DRS prefs are set to auto select GPU, and all GPU features are turned on.

bug, feature or pebkac?

No issues with files from the exact same drone here.

People keep complaining about the newest Nvidia drivers as of late, try installing older drivers (always use Display Driver Uninstaller to change drivers)

what is weird is I make a new project, do a simple rearranging of clips, and after a couple of edits DRS starts acting funky, and crashes. any attempt to re open that project crashes DRS.
the only workaround is starting a fresh project, and redo everything.
