Waves Plugins do not load on MacOS

Hey everyone,

First off, a big thanks for making this forum such a valuable resource—really appreciate it!

Despite doing some research, I haven’t been able to solve my issue. I installed DaVinci a while ago, and just yesterday I purchased and downloaded Clarity VX via Waves Central. Unfortunately, the plugins don’t show up in DaVinci at all.

I’ve already tried adding various paths—like the one to Applications/Waves/Plugins where the .bundle files are located—but I still can’t get the plugin to appear in the Preferences > Audio Plugins menu.

Any ideas on what might be going wrong? I’d really appreciate any tips!

Attached there are screenshots of DaVinci, Waves Central and my plug-ins folder for reference.

I solved the issue by desperation.

If you do everything correctly according to the Waves installation guide and have my issue described above, it helps to
(1) delete all linked plugin folders in the Preferences/Audio-Plugins
(2) Close DaVinci Resolve
(3) Restart Da Vinci and re-enter the very same plugin folders that were deleted before
(4) Close DaVinci Resolve

After restarting Da Vinci the plugins are loaded. :D

Plot twist: I have the plugin but it is broken. Selecting Clarity VX in Fairlight is doing nothing at all. No pup-up window comes up and no effect is added to an audio line.

Which macOS version is installed? Resolve version? Intel or M-based?

Can you include a link to the VST3 config file in the following path?
Users/Home/Library/Preferences/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fairlight/Effects

Thanks for reaching out
my setup is as follows:
Mac OS 15.4.1, DaVinci Resolve 19, MacBook Pro M1 based.

I cannot locate a Preferences/BlackMagicDesign folder. It is not there as far as I am concerened. Not in my user and not in the shared library.

However I solved the issue yesterday by desperation:

(1) Deleting all linked folders in DaVinci's Preferences/Audio-Plugins
(2) Closing DaVinci
(3) Opening DaVinci and re-entering the very same paths that I did delete.
(4) Closing and opening DaVinci
After that the Plugin is loaded successfully. ;)

Plot twist: The Plugin does nothing in Fairlight. If I add Clarity VX De-Reverb to any audio line nothing happens. There is no effect added to my audio line, bo popup nothing. All other stuff e.g. from elgato works without problems :?

Actually it should; the path he wrote is correct, and you wold find .xml file(s) containing pathmaps to some plug-ins...
Did your stuff come with an installer ?
