Nvidia 3D settings under Linux

PostTue Apr 22, 2025 10:19 am

I recently started using DR under Linux because I have zero budget for upgrading my hardware to Windows 11 requirements. Consequently my laptop is of an older generation with limited GPU memory available. I would like to set CUDA - Sysmem Fallback Policy to "Prefer Sysmem Fallback" because I did maximise the CPU RAM, which can be found in the Windows version of Nvidia settings.

The Linux nvidia-settings tool does not seem to have this setting or I need to use a custom application settings and know the right key to do so. Where can I find documentation of these CUDA and Nvidia keys? Did anyone managed to set this successfully in the Linux environment? Would you mind helping me out? Thank you.
