Tried the software for the first time and it crashed immedia

Hello everyone. I've heard a lot about this software on YouTube, and when I uploaded a video file in WebM format from my phone, Resolve initially wouldn't open it.
Then I saw on Google what video formats were supported. So I converted the WebM video to the AVI format which is supported....However, when I loaded the AVI file with the program, the program closed.
I tried again and then the same thing happened again. And of course, what else do I have to do but uninstall it?

You haven't said what is your system, software and hardware, what version of resolve are you using free or studio, what version number of resolve and keep in mind AVI is a container. Its not clear what it is inside.
