Slog3 to Davinci Intermediate "Crushing Blacks"

I've been working with S-Log3 footage for what wouldn’t be considered a very long time. Since my main habit is working with DaVinci Intermediate, I'm transitioning from S-Log3 to DaVinci Intermediate. However, during this transition, I'm experiencing a kind of black crushing in the image that I can’t quite make sense of.

In Image 1, the waveform looks normal — this is with the node disabled, meaning it’s the signal without any color management applied. In Image 2, we see the crushing that occurs when I activate the node. For comparison, I applied a conversion to LogC3 — which I was working with before switching to DaVinci Intermediate — and that’s shown in Image 3. That one displays a conversion as it should.

Is this a known issue? Am I doing something wrong?

Try setting Tone Mapping Method to none and then use Tone Mapping and Gamut Mapping only when going to Rec709.

Yes indeed, that was the problem.
