Wondering if anyone knows the solution to this.
I've noticed that with elements in different composite modes, like hardlight, fusion transitions 'ignore' the mode.
Example:

But normal transitions, or many OFX options, observe the mode.

Is there a way to get the fusion transition to observe the composite mode as well?

In the Edit page, composite modes like Hard Light are applied to clips. Fusion transitions have their own composite modes, separate from those in the Edit page, because the transition occurs within Fusion itself, where you can add any effect. Like keyframes, composite modes are handled separately in the Edit page and in Fusion.

To use a specific blend mode in a transition, you would need to apply it within Fusion to match the blend mode you're using in the Edit page. For more control, you could create a custom transition in Fusion with the same blend modes available in the Edit page. Then, you would build custom controls for the Edit page transition, allowing you to select the same blend mode for the Fusion transition as you use for the clip in the Edit page. However, this is likely unnecessary work. It would be easier to do all compositing in Fusion.
