feature suggestion for the detection of markers in the audio

PostSat Apr 26, 2025 10:43 am

I'm starting to test the new feature introduced for the detection of markers in relation to the peaks and modulation of the audio.
as first thing I imported an mp3 audio and placed in the audio track, then with the right button within the audio track in question I selected the detection in question as the attached image
I saw that the generation of markers was very fast
the markers introduced are represented within the track with white dashes
one of my main purposes is to be able to my main purpose is to be able to cadence the photos in time to the music with the rhythm detected by davinci
in practice to do this I just drag each photo and trim it between one marker and the next as shown in the attached screenshots
it would be very interesting that after a selection of photos already sorted by temporal sequence , this alignment is automated without having to operate manually photo by photo.
i will ask the davinci development team to implement this new feature.
from what i have seen the markers detected are really very good, nothing compared to those detected by a similar feature of wonderhare filmora much less precise
which in fact involved a manual alignment on all the points detected, with an inevitable absurd loss of time

thanks a lot marco

Yes, great request. Some sort of "automate to sequence" based on beat markers would be awesome. I seem to remember that Premiere had something like that when I was a user.

Seems like the addition of beat markers exists mostly for those of us who wish to time our edits to the beat, so adding some sort of automation to easily accomplish this would be amazing.

There is a separate forum for Feature Requests.

viewforum.php?f=33

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

thank you for the comment and appreciation, I am convinced that a feature like this would be appreciated by many, especially by the more creative ones.
it would be necessary to add any other information or how to set up the functions to suggest to the development team to facilitate  the development team as much as possible so that they are encouraged to implement them
