Hi.
Again Beta-2 the same error codec to render mp4--H264--Encoder: NVIDIA or Auto.

In Davinci 18 and 19 not error .... I have never had any errors when generating an mp4 or quicktime H264 or h265.

I had this happen when I changed the Nvidia driver version to 576.02. Went back to 572.16 and the problem went away. Nvidia have since published a replacement for 576.02, but I haven't tried it.

Hello, thank you very much, I’m going to download that driver, install it, and give it a try.

Nothing friend, go back to the NVIDIA 572.16 driver and the same error.

Do you have any 3rd party encoders setup, as an example mainconcept or Voukoder ?

Mainconcept was causing a problem at one stage. Now that Windows Resolve has built in prores encoding if you were you using Voukoder for prores you don't need that now. Not to say 3rd party codecs are the issue bur worth ruling out.

YES!!! That was the problem!!! I had the latest version of MainConcept 1.6.1 installed, and it's true that the problem was there right after I installed it. I just uninstalled it, and I can NOW render with "NVIDIA or Auto" in the "Encoder" box.
Thanks so much, CougerJoe, I really appreciate the help.
For everything else about the program, Davinci 20 Beta 2 is great!
So be careful when installing third-party plugins.
