Tracking problems in magic mask -

I am able to successfully use magic mask to track an object in frame, but I don't seem to have the ability to track backwards/or forwards after adding strokes to refine the mask. Here's what I am facing.

I have to regenerate the mask all over again. How do I proceed in a better way with this?
