Codec Render Settings for Blu-ray Authoring?

Is it possible for Resolve 20 Studio to output BD compliant files that don't have to recode and lose quality?

I am getting this message from my authoring tool. Basically 3 areas that are not compliant. I've looked for these profile and VBV settings in the render menu but could not find them.

Should I be using other than .MP4 format?

Step by step guidance would be appreciated!

Back in Adobe Premiere, my pipeline was Premiere to Encore and no recoding took place for the video stream and it went quickly. I need to set the correct profile and vbv buffer size as well as mx bitrate. Apparently setting 'restrict to' anbd 35mb/s doesn't produce a file with max 35 mb/s, as per the diagnostic. I only discovered this when I viewed the BD in our projection room and noticed dismal quality.

For now just export a ProRes, etc and encode with something else. There’s documentation on using x264 on the web archive (or can use FFMPEG with libx264 & converted commands). Info here:

Also check if Shutter Encoder has BR compliant settings. If not, message him on reddit and I’ll bet he can fix it if you can give him exact specs.

Or you could export as prores, and use the TMPGEnc encoding app. From what I understand they have an excellent encoder. Not sure about their authoring software though.

My content is usually long form concert videos (2 hrs) so I don't have sufficiently large drives to handling that terabyte sized file, unfortunately. In addition, the process is an extra step which slows production down and time is $$$. Ultimately, I would like to stop using Adobe products to produce concerts and author BDs, but I need whatever replaces it to be AS efficient and not require extra steps and disc space.

I bought the full license for TMPGenc BD software so it can import h.265. I tested with making a 50mb/s HEVC file and ingested it into the BD authoring tool. Burned a BD-RE disc and watched it. MUCH better. In fact, I thought I was looking at 4K UHD content, it was so crisp and detailed on a large DCI 4K projection screen. The file sizes are more manageable. I'll have to do the math to see what a 2 hour intermediate will take up, but a heck of a lot less than Prores422.
