Recommendations for Troubleshooting Constant Hangs-

Hey all,

I have a project that I ugpgraded from v19 to v20 and am having issues with DaVinci hanging.

It seems to happen when I am utilizing the fusion page, so perhaps certain effects, etc? I have tried a few different versions of graphics drivers, but it seems to be the same regardless of driver version.

I think it might be related to my media/proxies, linking, or decoding - something like that?

I'd like some advice on what I can do to diagnose what's happening or what might be the thing that's triggering the hang/freeze?

i7-10400k.
64gigs Ram.
GeForce 4080 Super.
Footage is on SSD.
Windows 10.

I have tried generating logs but I cannot really understand what's going on with them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Firstly you need to see what Davinci is doing when it hangs. By that I mean, is it using 1/all cores? is it doing IO? is the GPU doing things? Is there network traffic?
A hang is always when a program is waiting for something, it could be obvious, it could be non-obvious.

Secondly, "I have tried generating logs but I cannot really understand what's going on with them." What did you do? Did you read the logs? if so, what confused you?
But in general, the logs (as stated in viewtopic.php?f=40&t=220400 ) are meant for the developers. So I would upload them to a file hosting service without authentication and share the link here.
