hiding tracks

In fairlight, I can hide tracks so that there aren't so many to see while editing by selecting the "eye" icon in the index. The tracks that I hide in fairlight, however are not hidden when returning to the edit mode. Is there a way to hide tracks when in the edit mode?

Thanks for your comments!

I don't know what a calibrated (non computer) display is. Please explain.

I do need training - yes.

I have a desktop - a new mac mini. (does that count - not sure)

A calibrated display for the sake of accurate color grading - a computer display is typically influenced by the OS and what you see is not what others will see (assuming they are viewing your footage on a calibrated display). So if you intend to publish your videos for theatrical viewing (or even YouTube), judging your grades using a calibrated reference monitor is highly recommended.

That's just something in my post signature to let folks know where I'm coming from. It appears in all my posts and is not specific to this question.

That said, here's a video that explains the idea pretty well.
