Resolve 19 suddenly stopped loading...

PostWed Apr 30, 2025 5:16 pm

I have been using the free version of resolve for a few years and decided to upgrade to Studio 19 (spring 2025) and for the most part it has been great. Suddenly yesterday it stopped loading. It starts loading and as soon as the splash screen pops up it vanishes and the program stops loading all together.

My computer has more then enough resources and I have gone through a list of do this first, do this second, do this third items that I have found on various websites. Many people are claiming to have the same problem. One post from a week ago had someone from Black Magic not "We are aware of the problem and are working on it" --- Is there any progress?

I just uninstalled Topaz Video, made sure that the antivirus software is not the problem, made sure there is no VPNs turned on, completely removed Resolve and re:installed it --- yet nothing works.

I was just using the software on Monday with ZERO problems. Today is Wed (April 30th, 2025) and I'm running out of patience. I NEED this software for my business and this is VERY bad timing.

SOS...

We need the following:

In a File Explorer window, go to:

C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve

and run CaptureLogs

This will place a Resolve log file named similar to this on your Windows Desktop: DaVinci-Resolve-logs-20181228_140434.zip (You may not see the .zip extension if your system is set to hide known extensions).

Then open the Windows System Information app and do a File - Save (Not a File Export), which will generate a .NFO file.

Place both those files on a file sharing site and provide links to the files here. Make sure the links don't require access credentials.

If you are a new Forum user, you may not be allowed to post URLs. If this happens, just put a space near the front of the URL, so the system doesn't think it's a URL.
