The power went out while I was working in DR. After turning it back on, I noticed that the tooltips on the tracks started popping up instantly when you hover the mouse over the icons. Without a delay. It's quite annoying. I can’t remember if it was always like this. Could someone check if the tooltips appear immediately when you hover over icons, or with a delay? And is there an option to completely or partially disable tooltips? Windows 10 (x86)

As with many things in Resolve, this isn't consistent.
Some tooltips appear immediately, others take a second.
Sometimes the same tooltip even appears with a random delay...
I'd like to have an option to disable all tooltips.

That is true. But what is the behavior of the tooltips on the icons in the yellow square at this moment for you? Is it instant? Like without even a microsecond delay?

I just have a feeling that the sudden shutdown of the PC might have disrupted something in DaVinci. Or maybe it’s just my imagination. I’m trying to figure it out. Reinstalling DaVinci didn’t help, but firstly, it doesn’t always fix issues, and secondly, I simply don’t remember how it was before. I launched DaVinci, hovered the mouse, and thought: wait a second, something’s off. Or maybe not. Could someone please check this on their system? I’m starting to feel a mild obsessive disorder every time I hover over these icons. Specifically, the ones in the yellow rectangle on the screenshot. Everything else is fine.

The appearance of the tooltips on the timeline tracks also looks pretty instant here.

Christoph, could you do me a favor? Just open DR and hover your mouse over one of the icons inside the yellow rectangle in my screenshot. And let me know whether the tooltip pops up immediately (zero fade in, zero delay) or if there’s a delay. I’d really appreciate your help.

It's instant for me in 20b2.

But I never paid any attention to how it was before this thread.

It's instant on DVR 19.1.4 too.

Thanks, people. So it’s just me. Still, it would be great to have an option to turn it off.
