Sometimes when I copy and paste between different project versions, the same color group is automatically created multiple times as clips are being pasted from other projects, and since there should not be multiple color groups with the same name Resolve gives me a blue screen.

Resolve won't merge the same color group, it just generates a new one with the same name.
