I'm a noob with Resolve Studio and am looking for some guidance on reorienting 360º video.
I posted a clip to YouTube with a sample video <.../watch?v=Obg487J11I0> (can't include links). This was taken with a Insta360 X5 attached to a "selfie stick" on the back tiedown of a small plane.
The goal is to decouple the video from the plane and lock it to the horizon.
Since the camera is rigid to the plane when we enter a banked turn the horizon banks and the plane's wings stay level. Is there a way for Resolve to track the horizon and keep the video level during banking turns?
I've attempted to accomplish this in Insta360 Studio using keyframes and manually reorienting with each turn, but this gets cumbersome very quickly.
There is also a fair amount of wind vibration as expected attached to a plane going ~130mph. The Insta360 FlowState stabilization seems to prioritize the plane in the foreground, and the ground still jittery <.../watch?v=Uvx3WfCP-3w>.
Is it possible to mask out the plane and use the Spherical Stabilizer and Tracking algorithms to only use the ground for reference?
Any insight the best method to accomplish these tasks in Resolve Studio would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ian
