Viewer in Vertical Resolution – is this a bug?
Posted: Sat May 03, 2025 7:11 pmIn DaVinci Resolve 20, the left window (Media Library etc.) dominates the workspace when editing vertical videos, and the layout offers limited no flexibility (see video below). It's frustrating: the main video viewer is locked to the far right and can't be moved.
The new Expand View button changes the layout — yes — but that pushes the viewer even more to the right. For video editors, having the viewer centered is essential — not off to the side. DaVinci is the first video editing software that introduces this new problem.
The inability to resize the window also feels like a bug.
Has anyone found a workaround, yet?
