Insert clips and "push" existing clips to the right?

Is there a way to insert clips into the timeline in that way, that all the clips to right of the point where the new clip is inserted, are pushed to the right?
So, essentially I want to "squeeze" clips into an existing timeline track without clipping or cropping the existing clips.
Another scenario would be to just move a clip within a track to point earlier in the timeline.
Currently I have to select all the tracks behind, move them by hand to the right, place the clip and then delete the remaining gap. I assume, there is a more efficient way?

Keyboard Customization > Application > Edit > Insert (F9)
or
Drag the clip to the Record Viewer > Insert
or
Use the Icon to Insert Clips (under the Source Viewer)

F9 is exact what I was looking for when inserting new clips. Normally I just drag and drop them from the media bin, but I'm OK with the shortcut.
For moving clips within the track I discovered LMB+Shift+Strg.
