Video not staying linked to audio in Fairlight

PostTue May 06, 2025 9:14 pm

Hi there,

I have multiple audio tracks linked to a video track in Resolve > edit. When I move any of the clips in Edit, all clips, audio and video, move together.

However when I switch to Fairlight, and move an audio clip, the red out-of-sync frame count number pops up, because the video does not follow the audio when it is moved.

In searching, I have found that clips linked in Edit should remain linked in Fairlight. but in my case do not.

This applies to audio embedded in the video, and supplementary audio recordings I added.

Any ideas how to make sure things remain linked in Fairlight? thank you.

Make sure the chain icon to the right of the magnet in the toolset is turned on.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
