I can't open my project anymore : Davinci Resolve crashes

Hi, today, I tried to open my project as usual to finish my video but : Davinci Resolve crashed.

Everytime I want to specifically open this project it crashes : if I try to create a new one it works.

I upgraded to resolve 20.0B Build 38 (was on 19) : same.

I tried everything I could with tutorials and everything : all these methods :
modifying Project.db and index of Timelines, removing plugins, trying to export project (crashed), duplicating it (no changes), reinstalling, rebooting....none of these worked.

Can you help me please ?

I put you my logs in attachment.

For my computer, I'm on
MacBook Pro Mac15,6 MRX33FN/A with an Apple M3 Pro and 18go RAM.

Thank you very much :(

Please provide a project export .drp of the project.

Just a stab in the dark...

If you encounter a corrupted project, here's a possible workaround:

1) launch Resolve without opening a project (that is, just look at the Project Manager window)

2) select but do not open the project with the problem

3) right-click the bad project and Export a copy to another drive

4) now, right-click in the gray area of the Project Manager and Import that project back into Resolve (with a name like "Copy of Bad Project").

5) Try opening the copy and see if the problem persists.

6) if you have a copy of the project from the day before (and we always suggest you make daily backups), see if the previous day's version is OK.

It's very, very rare to encounter a corrupted timeline -- at least in my experience -- but I do manually export a DRP backup every single day, just in the event of nuclear attack. You never know.

I just realized you did note that exporting the project crashed.

That being the case, open the Project Manager page, and expose the project libraries.

Right click the project library and select Reveal in Finder.

Open the Resolve Projects folder, then the Users folder, then the guest folder, then the Projects folder.

In the Projects folder will be a folder for each of your projects. Right click the folder of the problem project and select Compress. Send us the zip file of the compressed folder.

There is only the project.db in there, I guess that's what you want : there it is ! Thanks for helping me !

Hello thanks for helping me ! Sadly I cannot export the bad project because it also crashes...

OK, I've made a version that loads. I had to delete the media folder called Extraits Vidéos

I don't know if there was anything important in that, or any timelines in that. If there were, they are gone.

But my repaired version of the project at least has a timeline. Hopefully it's useful.

I can't attach a .drp file, so I had to zip it. Unzip the attached file, then Import the drp file.

Dwaine, you are a king. Thank you so much ! I put again what were in "Extraits Vidéos", it was other videos for illustrations purposes.

What was the problem exactly ? How did you saw it / fixed it ? I would like to understand that !

Thank you so much, really ! I will export the project and keep backups everyday now
