Fairlight audio recording is cutting out/not working at all

I use fairlight to record voiceover work, and have been doing for the past few versions of Resolve. Everything is patched correctly, I can hear myself in monitoring when I record, and I can also see the waveform being created while recording. However, upon hitting stop, the recording is empty, or I can only hear brief moments of audio, often on one side only.

Usually, I can fix the issue by restarting the program, but only for a brief amount of time, before it begins again, seemingly for no reason. Any ideas what is going on here?

A possible cause could be if you video has a variable frame rate. Any large swings in the frame rate could cause Resolve to skip sections to try and maintain sync.

Please indicate Resolve version, operating system, and computer spec (including Audio IO configuration and OS audio preferences). Include this information in your signature to assist troubleshooting.

Okay, I have included that in my signature. Are you offering assistance here, or is this just an automated response of some kind?
