Help me - Sequoia Crashing

PostMon May 12, 2025 6:27 am

I usually NEVER update during a project, but I had Apple repair my screen and I failed to disable automatic updates.

Cut to: Sequoia 15.4.1 has been constantly crashing my project (Studio 19.1.4), I'm on a time crunch so I bit the bullet and upgraded to 20 PB3 hoping it would fix it, these aren't sophisticated projects. Previously Resolve had also been "forgetting" many of my transitions as well. The crashing is back and I need to go back to a previous OS or hope Apple has a fix by the time my client does some reviews.

Any advice on how to proceed? Should I export my timelines, reload an older OS and then import them into the previous version? I hate to wipe my system again as I have lot's of plugins to re-register, etc.

I keep getting the feeling that Apple doesn't doesn't prioritize working professionals anymore.

If you're running into Mac issues, go to the Help Menu and select "Create Diagnostics Log on Desktop." Also, provide a Mac System info file by going into Mac System Prefs -> About, and clicking "System Report." Save this file (as an SPX file). Also export a copy of the DRP.

Now, place these files on a download site like Dropbox, post the link here in a forum message and see what BMD Support has to say.
