I'm encountering a problem with my DaVinci Resolve installation on Windows related to multi-user access.
I installed DaVinci Resolve 19.6 on my primary Windows account . Everyting works for that user.
However, when I log into another standard user account on the same machine, DaVinci Resolve does not appear to be installed or accessible for that user.
Symptoms I've observed on the secondary account:
No DaVinci Resolve shortcut is available in the Start Menu.
Attempting to run the Resolve.exe executable directly from the installation folder (C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\) fails – the application simply doesn't launch and hangs.
I've already tried uninstalling DaVinci Resolve completely from the primary account and then reinstalling it while logged into the secondary account, but it didn't help.
Is there a specific method or configuration required to install DaVinci Resolve so that it works correctly for all user accounts on a single Windows machine? Are there known permissions issues or specific files that need to be accessible by other users?
Any help or guidance on how to achieve a successful multi-user installation would be greatly appreciated!
