Audio Mix from Adobe Audition to Resolve

PostWed May 14, 2025 7:45 pm

I am editing a feature film, currently in Resolve 20 beta on Windows 11.

Our audio mixer has been working in Adobe Audition, and sent us 5.1 stems via XML. When we import this timeline into Resolve, some big things are missing. All track labeling and metadata seems to be absent, and stereo pairs (like the music track) are being imported as single mono tracks. It's unclear if this is muxing these down or simply favoring the L or R and ignoring the other. God knows what other information is missing.

It seems that Audition and Resolve famously do not play well together; anyone have any suggestions on how to more seamlessly move the audio session from Audition to Resolve?
