Hi,

Am I crazy or is the software linking to the free version when the update DVR prompt comes up?
Or I'm inadvertently running the free version of 20 beta?

Why is it the case then when you install it , the app and corresponding folder is called DaVinci Resolve and not DaVinci Resolve Studio? I can't be the only one going crazy over this distinction over the years.... sometimes it's referred as DaVinci Resolve sometimes it's referred to DaVinci Resolve Studio. The free version should not be just called DaVinci Resolve.

The opening splash screen, About Resolve in the Resolve dropdown menu, and the title bottom left of the Resolve UI screen, will all have Studio in the title if that is what they are.
I don't use the update prompt as I'm always on the forum so see when a new version is available.

The paid version is always called Studio.

Updating with Resolve's prompt has always downloaded the correct version for me.

The app installed in your applications folder is called "DaVinci Resolve" and even on the installer it says You are installing DaVinci Resolve
