Some drone shots jitter after converting to Interlaced

Hi all, I am trying to solve an issue with some of the drone shots that are included in a mxf. The mxf that we received is a 1920x1080 10bit Apple ProRess 422 HQ. Our customer wants it back as a MXF OP1A XDCAM MPEG2 Interlaced file after color grading.

Some of the droneshots in this particular episode are showing a tremendous amount of jittering after exporting it as a MXF OP1A XDCAM MPEG2 others are completely fine.

Does anybody has any idea how I can fix this and make this jittering go away after exporting it?

Thank you in advance for all the help :D :D :D

We tend to receive native progressive sources, then grade and online as progressive in Resolve.

There's seems to be inherent issues with over sharp and extreme fine detail causing aliasing and moiree etc in an interlaced environment. This is especially true of UHD / 4K drones.

We tend to deliver interlaced masters for transmission in Avid media composer, which is far happier with I vs P compared to Resolve.

To Remove artefacts we tweak the sliders in this Boris Sapphire module.

The results are unbeatable and an essential part of our daily workflow.

It does take a while to render. If I were you I'd be searching the Web using the above as a starting point.

Good luck.
