Colour Grading - Colour Matching

PostMon May 19, 2025 11:33 am

Afternoon

I'm new to this forum and new to Resolve. I'm having the following issues which are killing my workflow and exponentially increasing the time it takes to colour match.

- Firstly, I make all my clips (including start and end points) and stabilise them on the timeline then go to the colour tab to grade. I grade the first clip then hit the centre button to copy the grade. Then again grade as necessary the next differing clip and middle click and so on. There's about 100 clips in total on the timeline.

I then go from the colour tab to the edit tab and all my start and end points have changed and the stabilisation has changed also so the clips are jumpy where the wrong stabilisation has been added.

I'm guessing it's copying over all adjustments and not just he nodes/colour but I don't know how to stop this?

Also, is there a way of viewing two clips side by side to colour match as split screen hinders rather than helps me.

Thank you
