Hi!

After update Resolve Studio 20 from beta 2 to beta 3 sofware stopped rendernig mp4 (H264) videos.

It displays the message: "Cannot find appropiate codec for enconding the video frame" and .... nothing.

Luckily I have a codec pack from MainConcept and if I select their codecs I am able to render MP4 but the problem remains.

I have read some older threads about this error and did a clean (using Display Driver Uninstaller utility) install of the latest NVIDIA drivers. To no avail.

In beta 2 everything worked fine.

I thin that's actually the cause of the error message.

Try getting rid of MainConcept.

Are you sure that this is the case?

All previous versions of Resolve (including v.20 beta 2) did not have this problem, and I have been using MainConcept codecs for a long time.

I updated Resolve to beta 4 - no change - mp4 cannot be rendered.

Search the forums. I do believe others are reporting the same issue. Getting rid of MainConcept was the fix.
