Losing Audio in Fairlight in Beta 4

PostTue May 20, 2025 1:01 pm

I have been losing my audio files in fairlight...
I just updated to the new beta 4 and now when I change anything in my timeline on the edit page I loose the audio. It still shows it on the edit page but no audio plays and when I go to the Fairlight page it shows no audio.
After I restart Davinci it comes back.

Anyone else having this issue?

* Update I went back to the previous version because it was driving me nuts

Could you indicate operating system and computer spec please?

No Audio Clips on the Timeline or no Track metering?

It's a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 AMD Ryzen 7 5000 Nvidia GeForce RTX AMD Radeon graphics at least thats what's on the keyboard stickers.
I had no issues in the previous version.

I have no audio clips on my timeline when going from the edit to the fairlight page.
The weird thing is that when you scroll a bit further there are still clips and I have sound.
What I figured out before going back to the previous version was that it only happened when I tried to change the speed of the audio clip on my timeline in the edit page and have ripple timeline on.

I downloaded the new Beta 4 version as it stated all audio issues should have been resolved...
Unfortunately I'm still having it freeze and have Fairlight just not wanting to play (the play button goes red and then black again).
What am I missing here??

I am also having the same issue.
Created a login specifically to report this issue!

Steps to reproduce:
Step 1 : Open Da vinci resolve
Step 2 : Play video in Edit page. Video plays with all audio tracks without any issues
Step 3 : Go to Fairlight page. All Audio intact
Step 4 : Add new clip into the video track
step 5 : Play the video. One of the audio track stops playing, although the waveform is visible in the audio track. For me its the music track
step 6 : Navigate to the fairlight page. The waveform isnt showing in the corresponding audio track

Hey, I have the exact same issue. When i delete a clip in edit page, most of the audioclips become silent and if i switcht to fairlight it seemes that all the audioclips have been removed. If i load the project new they are back.
This only happens when deleting clips or trimming, not when just setting a cut.

I use Resolve Studio beta 4 on Windows 11 with the following specs:
- CPU 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K 3.00 GHz
- GPU RTX 3090
- 64GB DDR5 Ram

I attached my Diagnostic Logs
