MediaIn Resolution not Updating...
Posted: Fri May 23, 2025 3:54 pmIn Beta 4 I noticed an issue with the MediaIn node specifically when set to the "Background" source. I'm not sure if this bug was present in previous betas or if the same thing happens when set to "Timeline".
Regardless, if you have a MediaIn node with the source set to "Background" and change the project resolution (say from 1080p to 4K) the MediaIn node won't update to the project resolution and will instead pull in media at 1080p. The only way I've found to get the node to update is to restart DaVinci Resolve after changing the resolution. Once the program opens back up it will be pulling in media at the 4K project resolution. The same thing happens in reverse (switching from 4K to 1080p) and the only solution is to restart the program.
