Beta 4 - Keyframes tab doesn't see Fusion Generator kframes.

PostSat May 24, 2025 2:29 am

I was trying to play with some of the fusion generators and for my surprise when I was keyframing generator settings, keyframes tab only show the basic video parameters (Settings) and wasn't capturing any of the generator parameters. Is support for those parameters planned in the future? Thanks for the update <3

Edit: Looks like Fusion effects are also not supported at the moment.

Unfortunately, we don't know if this is something Blackmagic is even working on. Blackmagic acquired Fusion in 2014, but in the all this time they have never made the Edit page work well with Fusion. As of V20 you still can't do basic easing for Fusion effects on the Edit page via the Inspector. Making the new keyframe/spline editors work with Fusion would require far more effort than setting the basic ease in/out curves via the Inspector, so it is entirely possible that they may never make the new keyframe/spline editors work with Fusion effects/macros.

Blackmagic may have put the Edit page and Fusion "technically" inside of the same application, but they feel like completely separate applications. I've been looking at other editors to either replace Resolve entirely or in part (like Fusion, since that is a massive hang up for me) and it's sad that dynamic linking between completely different applications is looking more appealing than Fusion and the Edit page. :?
