DRS 20 beta 4 - Linux Fusion Memory Cache non functional

PostSun May 25, 2025 6:26 pm

Issue: On Linux the turning the Fusion Memory Cache to On/Auto has no effect. Playing a timeline with Fusion effects will always play back with "lag"/stutter with zero difference between the first and subsequent playback.
On Windows this will correctly cache any timeline Fusion effects and subsequent playback will be flawless using the same hardware, timeline and settings.

To Reproduce
Restart computer
Open a 4k 30fps timeline using GoPro 4:2:0 4k@120fps footage
Apply LUT to footage
Apply Edge Sharpen to timeline
Apply Dehaze to timeline
Disable proxies
Disable render cache
Delete render cache
Set Fusion Memory Cache to Auto
Add Text to timeline
Add Transitions between clips
Play timeline, observe "lag"/stutter during and shortly after playback passes over effects.
Replay timeline, observe same "lag"/stutter.

Issue also present in Davinci Resolve Studio 19.1.4
