How do I see keyframes from a Fusion effect?

Hey, guys.

I've tried using an image and an adjustment layer in Resolve. In each case I then drag the Fusion effect on top of it and keyframe some animation. The animation works fine, but in both cases I don't see the icon on the fusion clip to view the keyframes.

How do you access and edit the keyframes in this scenario?

Thanks!

..you go to fusion. Just like you go for color page keyframes to color page or fairlight page automation keyframes to that page.

Hey, Kruno.

I appreciate the help.

If I do the keyframing in Fusion, i.e. if I'm managing the nodes myself, I'm used to using the Keyframe view and doing it that way.

However, in this case I did the keyframes in Resolve, using the exposed control sliders / values in the Fusion effect. When I go into Fusion, there are no keyframes.

Am I missing something?

Its hard to know for sure without seeing the nature of these animations and how fusion effect was created, but if you have done keyframes of fusion parameters you should be able to quickly locate them in fusion by opening the keyframe editor panel and fit to view whole timeline. If there is any animations it will show up there and it should be easy to spot.

The only thing I can think of it that you haven't opened fusion effect itself, but clip on which effect is applied. In which case fusion would not show any keyframes.

To open actual fusion effect, in the effect panel of the edit page inspector there is little magic wand icon to open the effects in fusion and than you should be able to see it by using either spline or keyframe editor in fusion and using fit to view button to see all the timeline.

Hey, Kruno.

Thanks for the ideas on how to solve this.

Yesterday when I clicked the Fusion page I saw an empty comp, just media in / media out, nothing to do with the Fusion effect I'd created. Not surprising that there were also no keyframes, I suppose.

I tried what you said, and this time it opened Fusion with the effect nodes as I would expect, and the keyframes were also there. So then I closed and reopened the project, tried doing everything I did yesterday and could not reproduce the original problem. No matter what I did, Fusion always opened with all the nodes and keyframes.

I guess somehow it got wrapped around the axle, and today everything's happy. I'm just going to take the win. :)

Appreciate the help on this, man.
