Audio track assignment with Source Tape does not work

DaVinci Resolve 20.0
When I try to assign an audio track in Source Tape mode, it is ignored and the red track indicators switch back and forth between Clip and Source Tape patching.

I'm seeing Track Destination Selection work here in Source tape mode on the Edit page.

Should I be testing something else?

Studio 20 for Windows.
