Cache not refreshed when editing animated subtitles

I use the Studio version (20), "render cache" is set to "smart".
When I edit standard subtitles, there is no issue.
But if I use "Word Highlight", the cache isn't updated after I edit a subtitle, which means the corrected version appears on top of the former one. The "cache" line remains blue.
I tried giving it some time, but that didn't work. I have to delete the render cache.
Subtitles are in French, if that matters.
