GPU Optimization Not Working

Hi Everyone,
I updated to version 20 and the GPU optimization gave me an error so I closed Resolve.

Went ahead and installed the latest NVIDIA drivers (I installed the Gamer drivers instead of the Studio drivers because the error stated above mentioned to install the "Gamer" drivers) and restarted Resolve. The Error warning did not come up, but the Neural Engine GPU Optimization did not come up either.

I've tried Clicking the Neural Engine off, closing Resolve, then starting again, clicking Neural Engine off. closing Resolve and starting again, but no luck.

I've tried erasing the Cache file at : C:\Users\[USER-NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\DVIP\Cache
but that didn't work either???

Does version 20 not do this Neural Engine Optimization anymore? I feel like Resolve is slower now than it was prior to the install. I have a laptop with NVIDIA RTX 4060, but not sure if that is of importance.

Any advise would be appreciated.

In the release version of 20 the optimisation is automatic if you are on the minimum CUDA version listed in the read me.

Does that mean we can delete the 4GB+ tensor cache file and it will make no difference to performance or is Resolve still using it if you installed a beta where the generation was required and the performance increase is best using the the cache file?

With this rushing to release version I could see why BMD may get rid of a step that many people complained about due to the hour it took to run and also crashing possibly related to it (for some people) and still others where each run Resolve wanted to regenerate the cache.

Is not optimising the tensor cache actually a step backwards as far as performance but a step forward as far as users complaining less?

If the cache file is no longer being used or needed my MagicMask2 results are the same, and did not get worse.

Yes, it means you can delete the tensor cache file.

Confirmed, no difference in operation, 24fps was about as fast as I saw MM2 go with 4K media on 4K timeline with the betas using tensor cache, still 24fps on release version with *.cache removed, and still quite a bit faster than non optimised.
