Unpleasant V20 behavior when opening big directory
Posted: Wed Jun 04, 2025 7:58 amJust updated to V20 and noticing unpleasent behavior when importing media from a directory with lots of files.
In this particular case, I'm trying to import a timelapse (in CameraDNG) from a directory on a rather slow disk. The disk is the bottle neck but the unpleasantness is that Resolve goes into "Not responding" mode on Windows 10.
A much better wat would be to have a proper pop-up saying something like "Importing" and indicating expected time to completion. I've used the same timelapse material in V19 on the same system and then Resolve did not show this behaviour.
