Hard Drive Died -- Please Help

PostFri Jun 06, 2025 9:24 pm

My primary drive died yesterday, forcing me to rebuild and reinstall everything. Luckily, most of my Davinci Resolve-related files are stored on other drives.

However...

I'm not a Blackmagic Cloud subscriber. I bought the product before all of that started and upgraded as needed. Now, I'm lost. I can't find the card with my original product key.

What do I do to activate again?

I've emailed support. No response yet.

I thought there was a place for customers to log-in aside from the cloud log-in, but I guess that went away at some point.

If you have lost your Activation Key and didn't make a copy of it elsewhere in a safe place, there is no way to retrieve it. You will have to buy it again.
For the future make a disk image or a clone of your system drive on a spare drive which should be regularly updated, to guard against any future system drive failure.
